Country Christmas and Vintage Market December 7, 2019
December 7, 2019, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
See the museum buildings decorated for Christmas by the talented Dade City Garden Club! FREE Photos w/Santa from 1 - 3 p.m., unique and amazing vintage vendors for that perfect Christmas gift, FREE Christmas cookies and punch (while supplies last), food trucks/vendors, live entertainment (The J2 Band, also Hand Bells, Dulcimer Christmas Music), barrel train rides, and more.
Bring a stocking stuffer or gift to donate for a senior citizen in need and your admission is $5. Items will be donated to the elderly in the local Cares program. They need items like chap stick, toiletries (soap, lotion, aftershave, etc.), socks, lap blankets, shawls, hand warmers, individually wrapped snacks, nail polish, manicure sets, small flashlight, playing cards, hats, sunglasses.
CARES (Community Aging and Retirement Services, Inc.) is a charitable, not for profit 501(c) (3) corporation that provides quality and caring services to meet the needs of older persons and their families in Pasco County. CARES promotes quality of life and independence for adults through health, social, and supportive services.

Raising Cane, A Sweet & Spicy Event January 11, 2020
SUGAR CANE SYRUP FESTIVAL - Sugar Cane Syrup Making & a Southern Syrup Makers Association Sugar Cane Competition/Tasting/Judging, and Cane Syrup will be made on site.

A "People's Choice" Chili Competition, local competitors welcome,

Farm Fest & Quilt Show February 1, 2020
Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Quilt Exhibition, Quilt Appraiser, awesome vendors, great food, live entertainment, an amazing Quilt Show in the Mabel Jordan Barn. Bring your lawn chairs, grab a great lunch from the concession stand and get your spot for the horse pull, starts at noon! All museum buildings open, docents in period dress, traditional craft demonstrations and more.

MEETINGS
2019 Pasco County Historical Society Meetings
Every other month, starting in January, 6:00 p.m., usually the 3rd Friday. At the Pioneer Florida Museum,. Different speakers and presentations each meeting. Guests are welcome. A carry-in dinner precedes the program, so bring a dish to share as well as cutlery for your personal use, plate(s), (disposable is fine) and your beverage of choice. Usually held in the Mabel Jordan Barn, enter through Gate 4 (past the main entrance).

LOCATION: The museum is located 1.3 miles north of downtown Dade City, at the corner of US 301 and Pioneer Museum Road, turn east onto Pioneer Museum Road and cross the railroad tracks.

Card Making Classes

Beginner's Weaving Classes
Usually the 1st Saturday of each month starting 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (Unless the museum is having an event)
Weaving is both a fun and useful craft. You can make rugs, blankets, table linens, shawls, scarves, fabric for clothing, etc.
This class provides an introduction to weaving with an emphasis on multi-harness looms. At the end of this class you will be able to purchase and use the loom of your choice with confidence.
In class, you will prepare a 2-harness loom and weave a mat on it. As you make the mat you will learn the parts of a loom and their functions.
Other topics include various weaving terms and tools; reading a weaving draft; and calculating the amount of yarn needed for a project.
Other types of looms (i.e. rigid heddle, inkle, & tablet) will also be demonstrated.
All materials are provided.
* 1st Saturday of each month 10am to 1pm.
* Beginners class (13 yrs. and up)
