Lunch & Gift Shop
Groups are welcome to bring lunch and enjoy a picnic on museum grounds. Picnic tables are available for your use.
Visitors may also choose to visit our Gift Shop, which offers a variety of merchandise starting at just $1. To help manage space, we prefer no more than 12 students in the gift shop at one time and ask groups to rotate students accordingly.
What to Wear & Prepare
• Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather.
• Closed-toe shoes, such as sneakers, are strongly recommended.
• Water and soda are available for purchase in the Gift Shop.
• Please arrange school buses or transportation well in advance.
Museum Expectations
Students must remain chaperoned at all times and are expected to treat museum staff, exhibits, and fellow visitors respectfully. Please ensure all chaperones understand their responsibilities during your visit.
We also ask that students avoid touching museum artifacts and exhibits unless specifically invited to do so.
Cancellations, Changes & Arrival Times
We understand that schedules change and unexpected situations happen. If you need to cancel your tour or believe you may be running late, please notify us as soon as possible.
Please remember that you may not be the only group scheduled that day, and our dedicated volunteer docents often travel up to an hour away to share their time and knowledge with visitors.
Groups arriving more than 20 minutes late may have their guided tour shortened or canceled. You are still welcome to explore the museum grounds; however, your visit may become self-guided depending on docent availability.
We kindly request at least one week's notice for cancellations or significant changes in attendance numbers. Groups that cancel without notice or significantly alter attendance numbers without advance communication may be billed for the full cost of the scheduled tour.
We appreciate your understanding, consideration, and cooperation and look forward to welcoming your group to the museum.
