Civil War Reenactments & Living History Encampment

Skirmishes will emerge from the village and battles will take place at
2:00 p.m. both days (Saturday & Sunday).
Re-enactors only Saturday night there will be a dance (period dress required) 7lbs of Bacon Mess Band

The public is invited to tour the authentic confederate and union camps; reenactors are in character.
Get a glimpse of how they lived and what it was like during the Civil War. Traditional period craft demonstrations, Ladies period fashion show, Live Music with "7lbs of Bacon Band”,

All museum buildings will be open, docents/guides in period clothing in most buildings.
School Day - Civil War /Living History
Friday, February 23, 2018 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Schools are invited to schedule field trips
The educational value of this event cannot be overemphasized, so on Friday February 23, 2018, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. the encampment hosts a School Day.
At the School Day, students may rotate through different stations learning about the Civil War, cannons, musical instruments, medical hospital units, rifles, Union Camp, Confederate Camp and the Cavalry to name a few.
To be included in “School Day” activities,
your group must pre-register.
